Trash-picked Treasures

This was found at the curb in horrible condition. The desk top was not attached to the base. It truly looked like trash.

John reattached the top — 8 screws and some wood putty did the trick. After sanding, priming, a few coats of paint and new knobs, DNA has a new desk.

All for my favorite price —- FREE.

my father and i did something similar with a chest of drawers that we got for free from my college. when painting the dorms some paint got on the top of it, so to them it was ruined. a little spray paint and it looked quite nice in my first appartment http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y146/boone_n_me/Apartment/?action=view&current=bigfan.jpg

It looks very nice! It is so fun to get something that is trash in usable condition again.
