Last week in kindergarten, Oli’s teacher read the class The Mitten. Afterwards, they did mitten crafts — basically tracing their hands and coloring in their own mittens. Oli came home excited and spent the afternoon making more and more mittens. He gave me his favorite one. While he was napping, I decided to make his drawing come to life and pulled out some yarn and knitting needles. A few days later, his art was ready for wear:
The weather has turned spring-like so I’m not sure he’ll get much chance to wear them. Fortunately they are a bit big so they will fit next year.
